Aldermans Ink.
Aldermans was the name of a grammar school in Neath, South Wales. Reg David my late father went to school there and in later life started to publish his own work. He had been quietly writing stories, poems and some fictional work, but based on real geographical and historic events. He registered Alderman Publications and put some of his work in print; he believed in real paper books, he was not a fan of kindle. After his death in 2015, the family struggled to maintain it and, with the annual costs and few sales, decided to let web hosting lapse and closed it down.
I have incorporated the name into mine (Aldermans ink) which is a play on words "Aldermans incorporated." (inc.) spelt ink to represent artists and writers.
With the popularity of people having their own personal space and upsurge of men in sheds, I’m happy to share some of my creations and findings which have been the personal endeavour of mine and have developed over many years.
At Aldermans I like to think we are producing often one off and exclusive products, but also anything which we feel will be appreciated by an individual who wants to be different.
Repurposed vintage mannequins, rare classic motorcycles, industrial mechanical components and ornamentals for the office, shed or garden, much of which reflects a bit of history that have signs of age, some quite battered and broken, but characterful and original and some old junk to boot.
